Kovalam Beach

Kovalam Beach is one of the most famous and internationally recognized beach destinations in India, located in the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, South India. The name "Kovalam," derived from the Malayalam language meaning "grove of coconut trees," harks back to its origins as a peaceful fishing village.    Kovalam consists of three main crescent-shaped beaches:
Lighthouse Beach: Named after the iconic Vizhinjam Lighthouse at its southern end, this is the most popular beach with a bustling promenade lined with shops, restaurants, and hotels.
Hawa Beach: Also known as Eve's Beach, it is known for its relaxed atmosphere and is a favorite spot for sunbathing.
Samudra Beach: This beach is less crowded and offers a more tranquil experience. It is often visited by fishermen.
